Cinco de Mayo is not celebrated anywhere in Mexico except Puebla, the location of a battle that Mexico fought against Napoleon’s French army on this day in 1862.The people of Puebla celebrate this day with reenactments, parades, and fiestas.Starting in 2012, in conjunction with the Cinco de Mayo celebration in Puebla, they also host the International Mole Festival, making food a big part of the celebration. It’s worth taking a full-day sightseeing tour with a local to make sure you don’t miss anything.
